The Italian era…

Lowenthal watches were the preferred choice for accurate and easy time measurement during the golden age of car racing, when Scuderia Ferrari dominated racing circuits and Formula One.

Enzo Ferrari personally gifted a Lowenthal watch to Luigi 'Gigi' Villoresi in celebration of his victory at the 1951 Syracuse Grand Prix, the inaugural Formula One race held in Syracuse, Sicily on March 11, 1951. This achievement marked just one of many remarkable triumphs for both Scuderia Ferrari and Villoresi, who also celebrated sensational victories at the Mille Miglia, Pau Grand Prix, Genoa Grand Prix, Marseille Grand Prix, and Senigallia Grand Prix.
